The car company named on your written fare drives you, charges you and answers for the ride; riders pay this office nothing. Phone answered Monday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Mountain time. The online form takes requests 24/7.

Between your door in Salt Lake County and Salt Lake City International Airport, the office arranges a reserved car in either direction. Fill in one short form to reserve an airport transfer in Salt Lake City, UT or from one of the 25 listed corners of the valley, and we ask one local car company that serves your corner for its written fare. That company drives, sets the final price in writing, confirms the ride and is the one you pay. Riders pay the office nothing, and this site never asks for a card.

Your corner, your flight, one written fare

One corner downtown numbers every address

Nearly every address in Salt Lake County is a coordinate on one countywide grid. Each number counts north or south, east or west, from the corner of Main Street and South Temple Street, where the base line meets the meridian. So 1300 E 2100 S means house 1300 East on the 2100 South street. Every city and township of the county reads its addresses this way, Magna and Draper as much as the blocks around the office at 100 South and 10 West.

Those numbers mark a position, and they run at different sizes: roughly 685 to 700 make a mile in central Salt Lake City, UT, about 655 on the east bench, and close to 800 in the south of the valley. So the fare follows the road instead. Road miles from your corner to the terminal place the ride in one of six bands, up to 8, 11, 14, 17, 20 or 25 miles. Rose Park sits closest to the airport in a straight line, yet its road bends around the rail yards by I-15.

Twelve corners with a page each

Below, twelve corners of the valley appear as photo cards, from West Valley City and the Avenues to Sandy and Draper, and each card opens a page about that corner. Thirteen more, Glendale, Rose Park, Magna and Herriman among them, stand as rows on one page. Together they make up the airport transfer service areas in Salt Lake County.

Thirteen more corners, without a page of their own

Each figure is a starting price for one car, one way. On top of it, the car company's written fare can add waiting beyond its stated time, garage parking for a meeting inside, extra stops, and a gratuity it leaves out.

One terminal, one commercial lane below

Out to a departure

Elevated road: private carsGround level: commercial laneTerminallevel 2: bagsSet down on the ground level; airport signs lead up to check-in

Heading out, the reserved car sets you down on the commercial lane on the ground level in front of the terminal, as airport signs direct. The elevated road on top belongs to private cars. Both concourses, A and B, sit behind that one terminal, so the stop is the same whichever gate your flight leaves from.

Back from an arrival

Elevated road: private carsGround level: commercial laneTerminallevel 2: bagsFrom bags on level 2, down to the commercial lane

On arrival, bags come out on the second level. The reserved car picks you up on the same commercial lane on the ground level, a short walk down from baggage claim. On request, and only if the company confirms it, the driver can park and meet at terminal baggage claim with a printed name sign; garage parking may be added.

Sedan or SUV, counted by riders and bags

A sedan seats three riders at most and an SUV seats up to six. Write the number of checked bags on the request as well, because an SUV is the choice for six people or a lot of luggage. The two sizes start at different figures: in the closest band a sedan runs from $90 and an SUV from $120, per car, each way.

  • Sedan up to 3 people
  • SUV up to 6 people

From a sent form to a waiting car

  1. Send the two-step form

Give your street address, which way you are going, the date, the pickup time or flight number, how many riders and how many checked bags. Nothing on the form asks for a card.

  2. We place you on the grid

The office reads your address as a grid point, measures road miles to the terminal, and asks one local car company that serves that corner to check availability and write its fare.

  3. Read the written fare

Your free quote arrives in writing by the reply rule above, or within the first hour after the phone next opens. It carries no obligation, and rides are arranged from the day after the reply is due.

  4. Reply yes to the fare

Your yes goes back to the company. It confirms the ride in writing, and from then on its written fare is a fixed rate for that ride. Nothing is held for you before it confirms, and you pay the company directly.

What the fare starts with and adds

Counted in the starting price

  • One car, sedan or SUV, for everyone on the request
  • One direction: door to terminal, or terminal to door
  • Road miles from your corner, placed in one of six bands

Added only if it happens

  • Waiting past the time the written fare names
  • Garage parking when the driver meets you inside
  • Extra stops along the way
  • A gratuity the fare does not already include

Starting figures run from $90 for a sedan and $120 for an SUV in the band up to 8 road miles, to $140 and $185 in the band up to 25, per car, each way. The fare sheet lists airport car service rates across Salt Lake County band by band, and the company's written fare sets the price.

Five things newcomers to the grid ask

Do I pay the office anything for the ride?

No. Riders pay the office nothing. You pay the car company that drives you, at the price its written fare sets. This site takes no payment and never asks for a card, and the quote itself is free, with no obligation.

How far ahead should I send a request?

Rides are arranged from the day after the reply is due. Outside phone hours, the reply comes within the first hour after the phone next opens. For a ride the next day, send it by 7:30 p.m. on a weekday or by 12:30 p.m. on a weekend day.

How does the car know when my flight lands?

Put the flight number on the request. It goes to the company with your request, so the pickup at the ground level lane is planned around your landing; the written fare says how an early or late landing is handled. Waiting past the time the written fare names may be added, so read that line before you say yes.

Does a bigger grid number mean a higher fare?

Not always, because the fare follows road miles. Taylorsville sits at 5400 South, far below Sugar House at 2100 South on the grid, yet its road to the terminal measures 10.6 miles against 11.1, which puts it one band lower.

Can the company bring child seats or a ramp vehicle?

List each child seat by kind in the request, booster, forward-facing or rear-facing, along with the count. The company confirms in writing whether it brings them or you bring your own. A vehicle with a ramp or lift is asked for the same way.
