25 corners, one countywide grid
Airport transfer service areas in Salt Lake County: 25 corners to reserve from
Each of the 25 corners on this page was measured as a road drive to Salt Lake City International Airport and back, at a quiet hour with no traffic. Together they make up the office's airport transfer service areas in Salt Lake County. Every city and township in the county shares one address grid, so each corner below is a pair of grid numbers, with its road miles, minutes, main road and starting fares in the same row. Find the row nearest your door before you ask for a written fare.
Finding your corner from a home address
Start with the two numbers in your address. A house at 1300 E 2100 S stands 1300 East on the 2100 South street, and both numbers count out from one corner downtown, where Main Street meets South Temple Street. Look down the grid point column for the pair closest to yours, north or south first and then east or west, and that row is your corner.
A named street works too, because its house numbers still count on the same grid and a numbered cross street nearby supplies the other half. The rows show how a few named streets read: Fort Union Boulevard at 2300 East sits near 7030 South, South Jordan Parkway at 2700 West near 10420 South, and State Street in Murray near 100 East. The Avenues follow their own pattern of numbered avenues, lettered streets and half-size blocks, so 3rd Avenue and E Street lands near 140 North and 480 East.

What a grid number measures on the ground
Grid numbers count addresses, and they run at different lengths in different parts of the valley. Checked against the county's own grid points, a mile holds roughly 685 to 700 numbers in central Salt Lake City, UT, about 655 on the east bench, and close to 800 toward the south end. A gap of 1000 numbers between two corners can cover a longer or shorter stretch of ground depending on where it falls.
So the chart on this page shows where a corner sits, while the road miles column shows how far the car goes. The terminal has a grid point as well: its front sits near 710 North and 3910 West, and its mailing address is 3920 W Terminal Dr. Every corner reaches it on Terminal Drive for the last mile.
Road miles choose the fare band
Fares follow road miles from your corner to the terminal, in six bands: up to 8, 11, 14, 17, 20 and 25 miles. The grid tells the office where you are, and the road decides the band. Rose Park makes the point. In a straight line it sits closer to the airport than any other corner, at 1000 North and 1190 West, yet its road goes around the rail yards by I-15 before turning west on I-80, 7.5 road miles at a quiet hour. Glendale, farther from the airport in a straight line, reaches the terminal in 6.5.
The west side shows it too. Taylorsville, at 5420 South, drives 10.6 miles on Bangerter Highway and stays in the up-to-11 band, while the airport ride from Sugar House to SLC runs 11.1 miles on 2100 South, I-80 and I-15 and lands one band higher, from $110 for a sedan, per car, each way. The full table of airport car service rates across Salt Lake County lists every band for sedans and SUVs.
When your address falls between two corners
Most homes sit between corners, and the request works the same way. Write the full street address; the office reads its grid point, asks the one local car company that serves that part of the valley for its written fare, and passes your yes back. The tables give starting figures, so a home between two rows may land in either band, and the company's written fare sets the price. That figure holds as a fixed rate once you say yes and the company confirms.
An address past the outer rows, or one with no grid number at all, can still go in the form if it lies in Salt Lake County, and the office tells you in writing whether a company serves it. Rides are arranged from the day after the written reply is due, so available dates begin there for every corner alike. When the address is ready, reserve an airport transfer in Salt Lake City, UT and add the pickup time and flight number, or call +1 (801) 363-4718 Monday to Friday 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., or Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Mountain time.
Have your address and flight ready, send the form, and a local car company answers with its fare in writing.
